Choose Death: http://www.choosedeath.com/. WARNING: EXTREME CONTENT. This web site contains explicit, deathly oriented materials. Through these exclusive galleries, as well as being for the purely aesthetic aspect, we would like to demonstrate that death is preferable to a pathetic existence of a human being. The section Kill yourself is dedicated to that purpose.

How to Light Your Barbecue: http://www.copie.com/science/barbecue.htm (Added 8 Jan 01.) One of our favorite charcoal-grill lighters is a guy named George Goble (really!!), a computer person in the Purdue University engineering department. Goble uses a bucket attached to a 10-foot-long wooden handle to dump 3 gallons of liquid oxygen (not sold in stores) onto a grill containing 60 pounds of charcoal and a lit cigarette for ignition. What follows is the most impressive charcoal-lighting I have ever seen, featuring a large fireball that according to Goble, reached 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The charcoal was ready for cooking in (this has to be a world record) 3 seconds! You can see actual photographs and a video at:

Lactating woman's milk saves 16 lives at sea: :http://www.nationalpost.com/ National Post Online, 9 Feb 01. Inspired by God to share her breast. Ivan Roman, The Orlando Sentinel.

SABANA DE LA MAR, Dominican Republic - A boat-load of starving people, adrift on the sea, were kept alive by sharing a mother's milk.

Faustina Mercedes decided to offer her breast milk as she and 15 others drifted helplessly during a desperate trip from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico. . . .

On the 12th day, they reached land and found they were back in the Dominican Republic.

Most of the passengers spent three days in hospital.

Planet Earth Home Page: http://www.tidusa.com/PEHP2000/Planet_Earth/info.html The Planet Earth Home Page website was one of the first websites in cyberspace.  Born out of the vision of what was to come, it came to life at the U.S. Naval Space Warfare Research and Development Center, San Diego, California.  The website's original webmaster was Dr. Richard Bocker. On 23 Oct 97 the website was transferred by Dr. Bocker personally to http://www.tidusa.com/ to begin life in the non-military domain.

Every one of our 9000 or so links have all been personally reviewed and added upon its own merit.  Quality, is first in our decision to add or not certain links.  We do not use politics as a basis, nor do we use poor taste as a criteria to not considerl.  Hence, you may find a country whose political system is not in alignment with that of your own, but you probably will not find a topic that is in poor taste simply because we support free speech.  What we chose in placement of links is reflective to the course we set for ourselves … that of education being top of the mission list.

P&G's Symbol Is Satanic! This urban legend that simply will NOT die! It started in the 1980s when some folks claimed that Procter & Gamble's Moon-and-Stars symbol was a satanic symbol and that P&G was donating profits to the satanic church. The claim is bogus, and P&G has actually sued individuals and companies, including an Amway salesperson, for spreading the rumor. P&G's symbol was created in the late 1800s when company symbols were still relatively rare. You can read more about the history of the symbol at their Website. The supposed "confession" by the company's president is bogus! No president of any multinational company would ever do something that stupid. Click here for the truth about Procter & Gamble's corporate symbol. http://www.pg.com/common/applytemplate.jhtml?document=%2Fcontent%2Fen_US%2Fxml%2Fcorporate%2Fcorp_overview_jun202000_trademark_general_info.xml&templateFile=%2Fabout_pg%2Foverview_facts%2Ftrademark_facts.jhtml

Smart TV

Smart TV: Mike Wallace reported on CBS 60 Minutes TV 18 Mar 01 on personal video recording devices that could drastically change television viewing habits. A box from TiVo or ReplayTV attaches to your TV set and to your telephone (for downloading schedules automatically). It has a hard drive that can store 60 hours of TV, of programs of your choice, by name (let it figure out times and channel numbers). Allows easy skipping of commercials. Current install base: 100,000. Expected by one year hence: one million. By two years: 100 million. Because of this, expect the loss of advertising base and the advent of pay TV for all programs -- maybe 25 cents per hour?

. . . TiVo Home: http://www.tivo.com/home.asp (also at http://www.tivo.com/home_flash.asp) The greatest innovation in television since color! TiVo powers a digital video recorder and works with every TV system—cable, digital cable, satellite, antenna, or combinations—to give you complete control over LIVE TV. And because it’s smart, TiVo automatically finds and records your family’s favorite programs. TiVo-powered digital video recorders are available from trusted brands like Philips and Sony. CanadaComputes.com - Big Brother in hot water for hiding behind screen: http://www.canadacomputes.com/v3/story/1,1017,6308,00.html?tag=81&sb=299 A group of high-tech privacy advocates have lambasted TiVo Inc. for its ability to track individual viewing habits without telling the individual about it.

Virtual Garden of Gary Matson: http://www.garysgarden.com/default.htm You won't find Gary's Virtual Garden growing any one place in this world - it grows everywhere. Each picture you'll find here has been contributed by a gardener or an artist, in his memory. Gary and his life partner, Winfield Mowder, had been killed in their Happy Valley, California home in 1999 -- for no reason but that they were gay. His life was dedicated to horticulture, to nurturing growth, balance, and beauty. So is this garden. (Added 8 Jan 01.)

Xmas Is a Mockery of Christmas: Have you ever heard the ranting of preachers who claim that the word Xmas is an attempt by modern-day atheists to remove the word "Christ" from Christmas? Some others believe that the X is a sign of the cross. Neither is
correct. Actually, "Xmas" is almost as old as "Christmas." The X is actually a throwback to the Greek letter "Chi," part of Chi-Rho, the symbol of Christ. Thus, Xians is a legitimate word for Christians. "Xmas" has been used for centuries as a very respectful term.
