Lymphoma page (Lymph010) (Added 5 Nov 01. Updated 17 Dec 01.)

For those who wish to skip the explanation as to why I had disabled this page for several months, and a kind letter of appreciation which was instrumental in my restoring the full contents of the lymphoma page, you can ignore the rest of this page and just click here to go to the full lymphoma material (starting at Health page Helth020 (Helth020)).

Letter of appreciation

I was very pleased to receive the following message, on 17 Dec 01:

I just found your pages about Lymphoma.  It is very extensive and informative.

Please keep up with this page as it may save the life of someone who is unable to

find this info anywhere else.  As you have no doubt found the info on this subject is

very confusing.  Your site is the most extensive and informative that I have found.

THANKS

My reply to the above letter, sent 17 Dec 01:

I was very pleased to receive your laudatory message re my lymphoma page, especially so as I had prepared it for someone at considerable effort, but had not received even a simple thanks, after much work preparing it, and three months on the Web. That is why I had deactivated the main links in it, with explanations on that page.

Upon receipt of your message, I am now quickly trying to restore the page to full utility, but am having problems with both the mail server and either the Web as a whole or my Web-site host.

In the meantime, I have left a secret active link whereby you can access the full contents of the lymphoma page with all of its links active.

Here is the little secret of how to access the full content.

At the third line from the bottom of the Lymphoma page, you should see the following line:

. . . Various ___ Vincristine Sulfate Liposomes injection treatment trials ___ Zevalin trials

If you look at the little line of three underscores preceding the word Zevalin in the above line on the actual Web page, you will note that the first underscore is colored blue, and the remaining two black. The blue underscore is an active link to the full lymphoma contents (on Health page 20). Just click on it.

In the meantime, I will try to restore the full functionality of the site as soon as possible today.

Please let me know if you have any problem accessing it, or if you have any additional leads that you would like me to pursue. With the above hiatus in service, the information on that page is now about three months out of date, although I have not heard of any obvious breakthroughs in the interim.

All the best to you, Wayne

Explanation as to why I had disabled this page for several months

This page replaces the following page, most of which I have disabled**, except for a table of contents, with links disabled**:

Health page Helth020 (Helth020)

This page concerns Diffuse large B cell lymphoma, a type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Although I have some background in research (Ph.D. in experimental nuclear physics), I have no medical training. Updated 28 Aug 01.

** As I have not received any comments about this page in more than three months, I must assume that no one is interested in it. Therefore, I have not updated it in substance since 28 Aug 01, and I have removed this subject of lymphoma entirely except for an innactive listing of its contents, given below, to free up space, even though I have put a considerable amount of effort into it -- in vain, apparently. 16 Oct 01. (Updated 5 & 18 & 27 Nov 01.)

If anyone is interested in my restoring the full contents of this page, please contact me via the link at the bottom of this page, and I would be happy to restore it. I would also be happy to search for additional information based upon any leads that one might send me, and post the results on this page -- with complete anonymyity, of course.

My writings are in black. Plagiarized text is in maroon, sometimes highlighted by me in red.
